Im in derby mate, I had my service and mot done recently at my local garage and Ive spoke to the guy at the garage today and he said he will fit them for me tommorow afternoon providing they arrive by then. Don't think he will charge me to much as my service and mot (had a few bits like brake fluid change + spark plug change aswell) will come to around £200 and he's not one for ripping me off I dont think. Nice of you to offer though mate

Looks good matey,be good to see what it looks like when fitted.

If you ecer get bored please could you fit the 15" RXII's on one side at least so i can see the drop/stance.Ive been in a suspension dilema for about 2 months now.

I sold my bbs a while back im afraid m8, I think the eibach springs are always a safe bet for any vw, good quality manufacturer mate. Up to you wether you want a pretty minor drop then get the pro kit springs or get a more noticeable drop with the sportline springs. Both of them are not to much though don't expect to be scraping the floor with either. You should still retain a good ride quality with the eibach springs and it should sharpen up the handling and sort out the stance

No worries mate.Im looking for a 40mm drop from standard GTI height but the 15mm pre lowered nonsence is a pain.I don't want a 40mm kit that will lower the car 25mm you know.Looking at the H&R kit same as alex's or the KW kit at the moment.

I got my new springs fitted today - heres a pic of the springs and a shot of the car, I will get better pics of the car tommorow as its having a full exterior detail (weather permitting). Really impressed with the eibach sportline springs though, theyve given the car a better stance, ride quality feels only slightly firmer which is pleasing and Im hoping they will improve handling in the corners a little. Im still able to go over speed bumps etc and I know some people will think it needs to go lower but Im happy with the drop.

Supposedly the eibach sportline springs that i bought are 35mm rear and 50mm front however I think the car looks pretty much the same front to back which is what I wanted.

Heres a slightly better pic but I will get some better ones tommorow, got my dad inside the car trying to find a loose connection or something because the airbag light is constantly on but we seem to be struggling.

Any advice about the airbag light would be a bonus!

The back is lower on the body, so thats why its 35mm :)

As for the airbag light...you need vagcom to reset it - theres no way to clear it any other way!

GTI badge on the engine cover - seen somebody else do this and thought it was a nice touch - poor photo though
