Re: Yet another lil issue!
the 1.4 16V 75bhp models are renowned for being loud. Its due to the tappets wearing. A bottle of wynns hydraulic tappet lubricant in with the oil will help quieten the engine down, and sometimes a slightly thicker engine oil such as a 15w40 can help quieten them down.
Theres nothing wrong as such, its just wear and tear. With good maintenance, they will continue for many thousands of miles.
A can of engine oil flush, new oil and filter and a bottle of tappet lubricant in with the new oil can work wonders - try it

Re: Yet another lil issue!
i have already done the engine flush and new oil filter etc (service done about 1000 miles ago)... i will change the oil within 5000 miles! and also chuck in some hydraulic tappet lubricats....
but yehhh thanx for that m8!
