RCD200 + RCD300 Same Connections?

Post by BennoGTi »

Im looking to buy an Xcarlink from eBay, but most of them state that they are from an Audi - but may work with some VW's?

Are the headunit connections from Audi and VW the same?

For example, would an Xcarlink kit for a 2003 Audi A3 fit a 2007 VW Polo?

Many thanks

Ok maybe scratch that, new question.... :D

Does anyone know if the RCD300 and the RCD200 have the same connections @ the rear?

Thanks :)

Yep, the RCD200 and RCD300 have the same connectors (both are quadlock). That said, I don't think the RCD300 fits in a Polo if thats what you're thinking about...
RE: your previous question: I would assume that the Audi radios also use quadlock, so there wouldn't be a problem. That said, depending on how much you're looking to spend, you can pick up a new Xcarlink system for £76. Thinking about doing it myself as a matter of fact...

Thanks for the info, im not looking to put a RCD300 in my polo, im just making sure a Xcarlink kit for a RCD300 will fit my RCD200 in my polo :)

Can you link the kit you found for £76? All the ones I have found are £86 upwards

Cheers

says it works with both the RCD200/300. Sounds pretty good, let me know how it works out!
