rear disk break conversion

as the title states I am willing to change the rear breaks. is it an expensive mod to do it and does it require the whole axil to be changed?

Just the ends - you need complete new stub axles, handbrake cables etc

where can you get these from ive always thought you had to change the axle aswell ?

from a breakers yard would be the best bet I think ... the problem in my country is that there is only a half a handful of GTIs so most probably there are non in the breakers yard!! are there any other cars that fit?
