How to fit HIDs in 9n3?

Guys just upgraded from a 9n Polo to a 9n3 and am not sure as how to fit the HIDs into the 9n3 by which I mean is the bulb part as it is supported by a holder but I cant seem to accomadate the HID bulb

Do I need to buy any special holder etc?

What bulb size do you have? As I know 9N3 require H7's and I'm not too sure about the 9N bulb size.

The bulbs in the 9N3's are H7 like Karson said, and the original little metal clip is used. It just twists, and locks back into place inside the lamp. Its a little fiderly gettin the bulb in, and you need to feed the cable through the hole in the clip, might seem impossible at points, but it can be done. You just need to be very patient. haha. Hope you havent got the 1.9 TDI like myself though, because its impossible to reach the drivers sie headlamp without removing the diesel fuel filter. A real pain in the arse mine was.

Haha, another alternative is to actually take the headlamps out. It's not too hard to do so but, it will allow you to accurately fit the bulb without hesitation on fitting it wrong as you can see what you are doing.

Yeh the metal clip is the main problem. Both 9N and 9N3 have H7 bulbs but the 9N doesn't have the metal clip........
I tried squeezing the wire through the middle of the clip but there are connectors at the end of the wires which connect to ballast!!!!!

ive had em on both 9n's and 9n3s there totally diff so i no what ur on about. on 9n's dey have a circle holder inside the lite that you twist. but on the 9n3 its a metal clip as youve sin. u jus need to keep pushin until it all feeds threw, then its a similiar system to the 9n when fitting you jus twist the metal clip and it will hold it in. if you look at the metal clip theres little shark teeth on either end ^ <--- like that thats what turns into a slot on each side as a member sed if youve got the 1.9 diesel and big hands like me then gud luk dont bother removing the bumper its long

Mines actually the GTI so got enough space to navigate through!!!!!!
