Lower grilles
Lower grilles
Is it just the drivers side that is screwed in? Where is the screw?
Also, are the fogs attatched to the grilles?

Re: Lower grilles
Both sides are screwed in IIRC. The screw's located just under one of the slat things - if you look at it straight on then you should see it.
Fogs aren't attached to the grilles, they're bolted to the bumper behind them.

Cheers
I'm assuming it'll be a bit of a b***h to pull them out?

No, there is only one screw, and it is located under one of the slats on the drivers side. Put your fingers behind the slats and get a firm grip and pull slowly and gently as you could snap the clips.
The foglamps are screwed in by 3 bolts, you will need a torx screw, if I remember correctly, the size you are looking for is a T25.

Oops, sorry mate, thought there were screws on both sides
How do you get the passenger side out then, just give it a pull?

To remove the grills just give them a tug and they come out easy

Re: Lower grilles
lmao at the middle taking the p***.
It's the only reason I won't go honeycomb on the lowers as I would break the middle one getting it out and wouldn't be able to put it back in for selling / trading it.

Re: Lower grilles
You can buy a spare centre plastic grille
I didn't think of that!

Re: Lower grilles
Yeah from VW mate. Can buy them seperately, so no worries if you damage the middle
Re: Lower grilles
Cool. Once I save up for the lowers, and the Japanese Sporty Honeycomb grille (with chrome instead of red tape) I'm going to go for it then!
You need to get more photo's up in your thread from distance though - I'm hungry to see what the car looks like overall as opposed to just frontal

Re: Lower grilles

Bit dark but should give you a rough idea on how they should look. Great transformation and I would highly recommend it!
