Polo G4o - OFFSET

Post by Dave-G4o-1.8T »

I've been told ET33 for a Polo G40 but will ET38 7Jx15 fit, if it does I'm jammin' and there's a set of BBS RM coming my way!!

Standard offset is ET38, not ET33. So I *think* you should be fine. I think there's a wheels and suspension FAQ on Porka/Club Polo that might be of use.

You may well need spacers for the rears so you dont catch the bottom of the suspension spring cup. I remember keith lee was selling his ATS cups which are 7x15 but ive no idea what the offset of those were but he said they MUST have spacers on the back. Ive got 6x14et45 wheels and they ony just miss at the back. Thats equivalent to 6.5x14 et38 in terms of how far in the wheel is so I would say spacers are a must!

i've got 6.5x 15's on mine with 195/45/15s' on, i have a problem on one side as the wheel is rather close to the suspension strut! i am even running 3mm spacers on the back! and i think i am still getting a bit of scrubbing on the arches.

it appears no one else has these problems, just me
