hello folks,
think the maf senser is gubbed on my 2006 9n3 polo gti, was on the rolling road last month and the power is dropping off after 5000 revs, also a kind of surging when you plant the pedal into the floor, ive had a look on ebay and euro/gfs car parts and theres a few i could choose from but i am wanting to know which one is best??? i dont want to put one in and it only lasts a few months so dont mind if i have to spend a bit more to get the right one.
if you all have any answers or other ideas to what might be causing this surging any comments would be welcome
cheers folks

maf senser for polo gti ???
Re: maf senser for polo gti ???
You need to get the correct one for your car to work properly. If the wrong one is used, the ECU will miss-read the flow and you will likely have issues.
In relation to surging, this could be to do with the tune. Some people have have luck changing the N75 valve to fix this. The MAF is not commonly associated with Surging that I'm aware of.
Cant help with a model of the MAF sorry...

All I will say is dont get cheap aftermarket ones. Get a genuine Bosch one.
There is a place on ebay that sell them, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mass-Air-Flow-Met ... 29fdff7e82 you might be able to find one cheaper if you shop around but the cheap ones are generally poor quality and dont last so you end up buying twice.
