My New GTI

Hi Guys

I pick up a lovely white GTI on saturday, I will get pictures up when I get it!

The car is completly standard at the moment, I dont have a huge ammount of plans at the moment but would like to modify slightly.

Firstly i need some guidance for wheels, remap and HID's

1. I LOVE the look of these wheels, am i correct in thinking these are the 17s off a golf GTI'?



2. Remap - where is the best place to go and what software should they be using? travelling isnt an option, if you do it once you have to do it right!

3. I have a 6n2 polo gti at the moment and I have fallen in love with the headlight so would like something similair on the white 9n2, any suggestions?

Polo GTi wheels are the same as the Golf GTi wheels, those look like 17" yes.

As for the lights, I probably could help you with that. What colour temperature are you looking for?

These are the same as the GTI but copies as GTI are 5x112 pcd Polo is 5x100 pcd.
Polo come with all silver 16" version.

They look like the 18's that came on the later mk5 GTI's...

A set of 6000k H7 Xenon HIDs should give you the look you are after thats similar to the 6n2 GTI - obvs not projection, but a similar output and colour!

I think those are 18s , i remember a build thread about somewhere mite not have been on ukpolos. though.
and 6000k h7 HIDS, or you can cheat like i have and got M-tec bulbs, and they have fooled most ppl into thinking ive got HIDS when i havent

I have decided as well pretty much as soon as i get it i want to colour code the bottom bumpers and side skirts like the edition 30 GTI

They are 17's. not OEM tho. The ones off the Golf are pcd 112x5 and only come in 18" (diamond cut). Standard Golf GTI alloys (same style as the Polo) are 17s. Guy on here had it, remember it aswell.
