Radiator replacement for 6n2 Polo GTi

Anyone know how easy it is to change the radiator on an x-reg (2000) 6n2 Polo GTi? Any advice/guidence would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Not too hard - just need to remove a few bolts and pipes to remove. If youve got a haynes manual its very helpful! I can send you a scan if u need it.

On another point my horn has also been broken for a while. The alarm still works though so from reading a thread from a few years ago you suggested that this could be the contacter under the airbag. Anyone know how easy it is to get to this contactor and how to avoid setting the airbag off though?

I haven't got round to even attempting it yet mate! Will do though in the the next week...same as you really wanted to know how easy a job it was - havent got a haynes so if any has a copy of the pages that would be much appreciated

Where did you get your new radiator from? I have just brought one from veedubmachine for £40

I haven't actually got a new radiator yet - wanted to be confident that I could change it myself before I bought a new one. Got a quote from Unipart for about £90 (plus £12 for 5 ltrs of coolent) but that's as far as I've got! Is yours new or second hand?
