Re: first 6R polo with mods on the forum ? bodykit 18" lowered
I'd be interested to know how much lower than the standard Polo the kit is.
I have the 'Sports Suspension' option with means stiffer springs and supposedly lowers the body by 15mm (just over half and inch). Frankly I don't see much difference to other Polos, though I have only seen 5 others!
All the publicity material and brochures seem to feature Polos with this lower suspension option - and of course with the 17" Boavista wheels. This is a bit of a cheat, but I guess all manufacturers do this. The bog standard is 14" wheels - but you won't see any publicity pics of those.
I went for 16" Cartagena wheels which take 215/45 tyres (for summer use). I figured that 17" and sports suspension would be too harsh - with 16" wheels it's near my kidneys' limit...

when with a 30mm eibach spring kit they are very well made springs which give a very good ride not harsh at all when parked next to a std polo its stits about 15.. lower think the 18" alloys help with the total ride hightGrey_Polo wrote:I'd be interested to know how much lower than the standard Polo the kit is.
