Title explains it all, what is a front splitter lol. I've read so much about them whats occuring!??!

Can I suggest you use the search function - most of your questions have been answered many times before dude 
Anyway, the splitter is the black plastic trim which goes on the bottom of your front bumper. The GTIs have a more 'meaty' one for a sportier look.
