A good auto-locksmith can do it. Expect to pay between £25-£40 for it to be done.

If not, VW will do it for £75

also sorry to pester you with questions, but would i have to provide the transponder or is that tied in with the price in both the auto locksmith and vw ?

i still have one good one but dont wanna take this out my original key and risk breaking it cause then i would be screwed !

i hate the vw here the bloke was like its 50 quid including vat and i cant do it unless its in a key... so i said ive got a key its a flip one and then he goes... nah its gotta be in one of our keys... so i asked if he could do it in one of thier keys and then take it out for me as to wich he replied you cant take em out its impossible i told him id done it previously and he called me a liar and said in his whole 2 something years at a vw engineer he has never heard such foolishness and was adiment that it was impossible... IDIOT i want to take the one i took out down there and throw it at him... basically all in all he wont do it !

OK I could be totally missing the point here but why do you need to pay a locksmith or VW so much money - surely it's got be the same procedure as found on the Golf..

And here's a link to programming the key to the immobiliser once you have the Secret Key Code (you need VAG Tacho for this which I have - only £20 off ebay)

I have just opened mine cos I was curious hehe ... and yes it has got something in it, thought it was all solid plastic hehe . btw mine is like the first one  until I decide to buy the Rclick kit :)

even the small emergency key has got a transponder then cos I started the car using it

LOL I can't believe I'm the first one to discover this?? Surely it can't be that simple?

Locksmith's make a killing over this stuff - all the kit you need is out there on ebay you just need some willpower and patience. I have a bloody dispute with the idiot German seller I bought the RCL kit off as it hasn't turned up!

Just waiting for Paypal to resolve it and i'll buy the RClick one and hopefully do this mod so watch this space..
