Are they markers?

Hi all,


Was cleaning under the car today and noticed a dent the size of my nail which was quite deep. Thought it may have been a jacking accident from the previous owner but when I looked all around the car there are 4 in total and they are in near enough the same place. They are just after the bend of the sill. Am I correct in thinking these are jacking markers, as I have never seen them on my previous cars before?

Triangular, pointing inwards? Sounds like the marks for the jacking points.
Jack the car on the seam just inside of these dents, not actually on them - its reinforced for a couple of inches either side of the points.

Sort of but not a proper shape triangle. I can put my little finger in them, but as I said before I'm pretty sure they are not damage from jacked incorrectly as the paint is not marked.

If there are any 06 plate polos out there can you check to see if you have these also??

I was in Tescos yesterday and noticed two Polos from the same dealer I had mine from and they both painted the bottom sills black! Looked really untidy. Also had dents/markers like mine.
