I've just installed it in my mates car and they are bright as hell! I'm not too sure about oncoming but behind me they glare in all 3 of my mirrors.

Apart from that is it safe to have HID's in i.e the temperature won't melt the headlights...

shouldn't melt the lights will just fail it's m.o.t if it didn't come with them as standard basically.

It won't fail the MoT mate, as long as the beam alignment is correct.

Although what Nick says is right, in that they are technically illegal unless fitted to a projector lens with self leveling and headlight washers.

They won't melt the lens as HID runs cooler than Halogen.. Didn't you post this same question on the other Polo forum too? :d
