New Polo

Post by sel90 »

Hi all, getting a new polo for the wife, collecting it on 3rd June. It's the SEL model 1.6TDI (90bhp) in deep black, will post some pictures when we get it. The wife should be ecstatic but she's not. I've PX her 3 yr old Vw Eos 2.0T. There were many reasons but the main one was bad hayfever affecting me and the 2 offsprings, and the impending timing belt change and service.
We've been driving around the new polo as a courtesy car. Does anyone noticed that the side of their left knee catches the hard plastic in the central console?

Hi er,
I have the very same 5 dr Polo
yer when i try rest the left foot your correct there's not much room
also there's no temperature gauge as noted by "Grey-Polo"
With regard to settings of DAY-TIME lights
Do all the (front) normal lights operate or is there
a single bulb working as in the rear lights ?
And would you tell us the service intervals ?
i've my first service at 15000 km / 9300 miles
apparently you will be offered two options
the same 9300 miles or a shorter interval
thanks in advance.

Car is on a 1yr/10,000ml service interval, whichever comes first.
The driving lights are on all the time. Haven't look yet where it originates from

No, it was sitting in the vw dealer waiting for us :)
I think its common practise for vw dealers to pre order cars with certain spec hoping for a quick sale.

The dip headlights are on all the time.
We've opted for the 1yr/10,000 ml service. You can get the long life service which can be up to 18,000mls between services.
Our annual mileage does not warrant the longer service interval.
