~~ Opening door problems with Internal door handle ~~

Post by jon_poloV »

does anyone know how to adjust the opening of the door. basically my passenger door is hard to open from the inside. you have to open the chrome handle a long way before the door opens. is there a cable to adjust or something? if you take off the door card do you think i would be able to tigten it up?
cheers

behind the door panel ther is a cable for the interior handle , it is not adjustable although there is a clipfor the cable to sit in, if it is unclipped then you need to pull the handle right out to open the door, so that might be your problem.

2 screws behind grab handle and screws at bottom of door panel clips hold on the rest of the panel :D

its the end which you can see!!!
that should clip in to the door panel after being hooked into the handle.
you could also see how far you need to pull the rod b4 the door opens :D

sorry my mistake it dosent clip onto the door card just the door itself
you can test how far you can pull the handle until the door opens with the door panel off!
behind the waterproof sheet there is no adjustment so if rod is clipped into door ok, then might have to bend the rod slightly so the rod has to pull less to get the door open. :D
