JOM coilover help

Post by RS_GT »

I have just fitted the rear coilovers but im finding the threaded part on the back is not coming up high enough to put the rubber top mount on. the top part has the spring, then the plate securing the spring, then a small sleeve and a nut on top, then i put a rubber mount from the old suspension on top which goes under the car, then after it comes up through the hole in the back, its not coming up high enough. Any help would be much appreciated. am i adding anything that does not need to be there?

Make sure the shock is fully extended, and then you need to put a jack under the axle and carefully jack it up, and that will push the strut into the housing.
