I don't know the answer but I would suggest looking Andy up and arranging to show him your car so he can advise the best route..

It might be able to be routed around the wheel well but when Demon Tweeks were quoting me they said it's very difficult.
The rear axle is major problem as I discovered when I fitted my mongoose, clearance issues etc.

They said even if they could manage to do it the right hand side pipe wouldnt really be doing anything, more for looks than performance.
I would like to see it done though because the MK4 Golf and 6N2 Polo look very similar from the back so I think it would look great.

I just opted for a twin 3" pipe cat back system in the end.

Without knowing the specifics, I would say if you can achieve the right angle bend with a mandrel bend then it shouldn't decrease performance too much..
