Yet another problem :( ... brake warning help!!

Post by Gary Gee »

A few weeks ago my hand brake light started flashing after I topped out and had to brake... I did a ecu reset by removing battery for 20 mins or so and it went ...

But yesterday night I was driving home and it came back on ... The fluid level is fine ... The car drives fine...

But light will not go off

Anyone know what this could be? Awaiting a vagcom scan off my mate find if its any sensors

There is also an abs fault (which I know about) but that's been there for almost a year now and never caused a problem (sorting out once the weather clears again)

Some one had this happen before? This is really pushing me towards either crashing my car or scrapping it.... Pllleeeasssseee help!!

The light means either there is a fluid issue, or the handbrake is still on

Were you getting a bong sound from the dash when it came on flashing?

Hmm it could be a dirty brake fluid sensor - Might be worth unplugging it, and just having a quick check that it looks normal, and giving the connector a squirt of WD40 when you plug it back in.
