Has anyone else been treated to the £205 pounds for 12months tax on their GTI yet?.

It does seem it for a 1600cc,it's gone up £20 and for what so they can get their Moats cleaned and buy baking tins?.

My 1.9 diesel is up to £205 as well (Robbin Basterds)

No I haven't been hit with that and never will be. As mine was registered after 1st March then I come under the cheaper tax for some reason...something to do with emissions being the basis?! So my car tax is only £180 for 12 months. :P Seems strange for the difference though!

£205 is crazy to be fair, I think I paid £112.75 for mine but that was just for 6 months.

It just keeps going up & up :evil:

Yeh £112.75 for six months or £205 for 12 months.

Think i paid £106 for 6 months.... but thats was on april 30th, the day befor they went up lol. What year and month does your car have to be registered after to be on the lower tax break??

As of April 2010 - Polo GTi tax rates...

Pre March 2001
6 months - £112.75
12 months- £205.00

Post March 2001
6 months - £99.00
12 months - £180.00

I don't think that's right as mine is 2000 and was £175 to tax in April lol

Car tax went up again at the end of April though, you probably just beat the price increase

Those Prices are correct Emma, I think Alex would of bought his latest tax disc before the price increase at the end of April this year
