New Polo 9n3 Owner :)

Post by itsjosh »

Hi there everyone!
This is the start of my project polo!
I previously had a golf mk4 then had an accident and resulted into going back to a corsa c. Never felt the same!
Last night i purchased a 1.4 9n3 and i'm already in love!

Looks nice mate!

Was stuck for ages as to what to do with my front bumper but have now decided to clean up all the scratches and leave it as I like the standard chrome grill. You going to lower yours? I've priced up some springs at GSF and their 90quid plus vat. :D

What do you think of this? :-

That looks really nice, you was lucky enough to get one with a chrome grille. i got the crappy plastic one haha.
I've always been a fan of the passat front end (which is kinda what im aiming for)

Not going to lower it as I see it as abit impractical where I live (harsh bumps, potholes etc) so gonna keep it same height, also I had a crash when i owned my golf and got some points so dont want to affect my insurance too much so just sticking to decorative changes for now :)

Makes perfect sense. Just a thought, have you seen the badgeless grills? Their pretty cheap and may look awesome on your black one?

Yeah I saw the badgeless grilles but I think with the chrome mask the badge will fit in nicely.

Just ordered the GTI Grille too :)

Welcome back to the world of VW's :D

I like what you are going to do to your headlights, but is this legal? I am planning on doing the same to the rear tail lights, but with film, I think it will be a little tricky.

As for the chrome surround,I think the GTi grille with the chrome surround instead of the red will make it look nice : http://www.vaglink.com/VAG/Polo_9N2_9N3 ... lo_9N3.htm

Also, they are selling door handle grips, mirror covers and bump strips in chrome too! :)

Check out FlyEyesKit it says its an MOT pass etc so should be fine :)
Also I don't want to overdo the chrome but there are a few vw's with the chrome front mask as standard and i think it looks amazing :)

They look nice, have you ever fitted the tint before? Will you post some pics on the result of it, as the rear lights look hard to fit.

Don't bother with this stuff, it looks like you have put tights over your lights.

The film has loads of little holes in it. not good at all

After a real close look at the video, I see that it is dotted and it does have tiny holes in it. Have you thought about Lamin-X? I hear Lamin-X has holes in it too as it is 'porous'
