AMP Power lead

Post by DMWRIGHT »

Ok, I know this has been posted a lot, but I've read all the other posts on feeding a power lead from the battery to the boot and non have helped so far (although the pic one is good it doesn't appear to sort my problem)

The GTI as most know comes with a passenger airbag, and the area that the wire feeds through on the bulk head on other 6n models on my GTI is near impossible to get to, could any other GTI owners help, I've pulled the floor carpets up on the passenger side and not been able see any obvious holes.

Some please help, or am I going to have to get my drill out?

if you open the bonnet, look for where the alarm wires go throgh (on the passenger side of the car, its just to right i think of the siren i think, there will be a rubber grommet surrounding them. just push through the wire next to these, its quite tricky, but eventyally itl drop down just behind the glovebox/airbag.
