Vag Com Windows 7

Post by d_austin974 »

Hi guys, i have just bought the obd2 cabble off ebay but when i plugit into the USP port the computer says it has not been recognised and it has malfunctioned. The readme i got with the cable says it is compatible with windows 7 but it only gives instructions for how to install the driver on older versions of windows. Can anyone help me out?

you need to specify the location, and choose where you have extracted the driver zip to :)

i've just had another quick thought. Does it matter that mine's the 64bit version of windows 7. Are the drivers you posted above the correct ones for this version? thanks again

no and yes. I have 64 bit windows 7 and I have no problems with it.

Can you screenshot the error you are having and post it up?

so i plug in the lead and this bubble appears
Image

so i troubleshoot the device and there are its properties
Image

you can see here it says no driver is installed
Image

so i install the driver, i get this warning and go ahead with the installation
Image

so once i install the driver i get this error message
Image

Do you know what i'm doing wrong?

Try a different computer and see if the error persists. If it does, then its a faulty lead
