Hi, I'm the proud new owner of a 2000 Polo SDi 1.9 diesel, 5 door but I seem to be in the minority as it is a saloon! I hope I'm in the right section because I have read that my car is anywhere from a MK3-5!
I have a few minor things I need to sort and have been looking for a manual like Haynes but they don't do one for a 2000 diesel saloon. I can get 94-99 petrol & diesel but NOT saloon and I can also get 02-05 petrol & diesel. The only one inbetween (00-02) only covers a petrol hatch. Any ideas anyone?

There isnt an SDI book unfortunately. Your car is a MK5 though for clarity (though wikipedia etc will list it as a Mk3f)
The same engine was used in the mk4 - 94-99, so you could ge that
The mk5 one is useful for all the interior trim stuff and general maintenance. The only thing it wont help you with is diesel filters and items specifically related to diesels like glow plugs etc
