Hello mate

First off have a look at this thread from the GTi section: here

Might be of some use? I know, you asked for LED-style not lexus-style! I found clear LED units at Hella's website - they do both clear and black ones, but I don't know if they're E-marked or anything like that... :?

Oh yeah, FK Automotive do some fantastic LED clusters for the Golf Mk4 - I'm waiting for them to do a set for the Polo Mk5 :D

The problem that will plague the Mkv is its 2 year production run. You don't see that many about and designing lights is quite an involved process - thankfully tail lights are easir than headlights.

It really sucks that there isn't much choice. Latest copy of Max Power had a review of rear clusters for every moddable car under the sun, but the only mention for Polo 6n, 6n2 and 9n was the increasingly common lexus style. As far as I can tell so far there are 3 choices:
  • 1. Lexus lamps. Not my cup of tea but look smart with a bunch of other mods I guess?
    2. LED lamps. I like these better but finding a set is a bit of a 'mare - does anyone know if the black ones from Hella UK are E-marked btw?
    3. Lense tint spray. Erm... can't say much about this one as I've never even contemplated it. Maybe if I find a second-hand set of Mk5 lights from a breakers or such I'll give it a go...
I'm a fussy b*****d tbh, lol.

Now I don't know what to do with 'em lol :? but in the meantime I'm gonna concentrate on getting my alloys looking sweet. Only problem is I just spent my hard-earned on a 17" tft monitor! Argh... now we wait for next month's pay...
