Hesitation at higher speed / revs
Re: Hesitation at higher speed / revs
Ok, that software worked ok.
It showed no faults though ... so what can cause this without triggering a fault?

Interesting. Check your sparks and HT leads for signs of wear
Also find out when the last time your fuel filter was replaced - this can cause problems like that

Re: Hesitation at higher speed / revs
I have no means of finding the service history, so have to assume nothing has been done hence me changing the air filters couple of weeks back.
Might as well change the fuel filter whilst I am at it to see if that helps.

Re: Hesitation at higher speed / revs
Just to update on this: I replaced the spark plugs with OEM VW ones and all is well now.
Two of the old (OEM) plugs were quite worn, so I doubt that they were (ever) replaced when I bought the car at 40k from the garage (should have been replaced then according to the service schedule).
