Club Polo

Post by Bradley »

Does anybody else really not get on with the vibe of this forum?.

It could just be me but i find it to full of people that reply meaningless and annoying comments. The modding is like a herd of sheep, everyone does and says the same thing.Needs to go lower, should have done this should have done that.Alot of them seem very narrow minded and at times i read topics and think it's quite "clicky".I saw a thread created by Mboyle an ex member on here, seemed like a decent guy and the thread had been shut down because a few people ganaged up on him for asking to much for his car?.

I am a member of the forum but prefer this by a long shot.

oh agreed. They can be quite childish on there at times. Blocking people, ganging up, locking threads for no reason

We are a much more friendly community on here and it makes a real difference!

This Forum is far better than Club Polo :D

Club Polo just annoys me, to many petty insults & digs

This forum is the better one by a long shot so friendly

Clubpolo
1. You dont have to pay to get full access
2. Over crowed with pointless threads so that the decent ones never get noticed
3. Really badly run i was a full member for 2 years never got my year box or stickers

but i have meet a few nice people i went to clubpolo show last year and there was some real nice bunch of people there tho :) but there was only about 50 cars maybe of the 10.000 odd members they have

Im kind of glad it's not just me,it just seemed like a littered forum too many useless posts and useless information.

Theres a stock polo GTI on there bar being lowered on Smitz TH Lines and it's gods gift i just don't understand it.

Oh and Rhys i joined up before i bought my car and recieved two membership packs for some reason  .

I fully agree also.

I never use ClubPolo, only the classifieds.

It's a shame how quite these forums are in comparison how they used to be though. The community was a lot bigger.

Or maybe I don't get involved enough these days. I used to read every thread in every section!

I like clubpolo, I'm a long time member on there. But I do agree with everyones comments. You just have to take it for what it is, it's funny and full of stupid comments and peoples biased, un-factual opinions. Technical help is rubbish as it's more people arguing on what they think is right. I just go on there for a laugh now-a-days. I do love that forum and I'll never leave it.

In all fairness though, I never used this forum until recently, but UK-Polo's is a much better forum for sophistication, real technical help and no one is un-reasonable on here what so ever. A proper VW community where people go out of their way to help you rather than hinder you or take the p*** or tell you that you're doing it all wrong, like most forums these days.

i personally dislike club polo a lot, everyone just seems short tempered and arrogant, all i use it for it the sell/buy section to see if theres anything i need or want. i dont even get on with its layout its just not as simplistic as this one.

plus there is not many people with genuine knowlege on there where as on here mr perkins plus quite a few others has helped me out of a fair few scrapes lol. (thanks again alex).

and although i occasionally ask some very silly questions i never really get ridiculed for it. ive only ever had a problem with one person on here but moderators quickly sorted that out.

honestly think if it wasnt for this forum i wouldnt have made my car what it is.

emma only just noticed you upgraded to the gti... how vast is the difference ? i.e. build quality and drivability ?.

drove my mates lupo GTI the other day... simply amazing !!!

Perhaps it's just me but when I think of Club Polo I just get the impression that the majority of them are a lot of boy racers in slammed 6n's with lexus lights. This forum tends to have a much more mature feel about it and everyone is a lot friendlier for sure.
