Inshurance bugging me

Hiya

Got this prob all the stuff i wanna do to my car. for instance lowering (main One),cat back etc i belive i have to tell my inshurance company.
I just wanna no is it nesesarry ? been a young driver i can see that the day i tell them there gonna have my pants down even more. To be honest i wanna be honest with them but lower my car????

any body got any good advice.

my car is lowered and got loads of stuff waht isnt declared, youll be fine but if u crashed you cant et any money back from them mods

No money for the mods. Fair enuf but what about inshurance in general. Do they still pay out ?

if you dont declare alloys and they get nicked ur screwed
if something gets damaged in a crash what you havent declared e.g. suspension, exhaust, bushes, bodywork etc and their all aftermarket then you wont get a penny

O stuff it to be on safe side I tell em. Would rather pay more and b safe and inshured.

my cousin has a bmw and he got a small spoiler which made insurance go up 400 quid so be careful....

Well I was just gonna tell em I lowered It but don't like the sound of just a spoiler 400. There dreaming. Maby your option is best just do it and keep shssss.

done and dusted called inshurance company told em wanted to lower it 40mm. etc etc they said it be extra 30 quid a year.ontop of me usual price.
so thats good.
