Polo engine upgrade

Hiya

Just woundering if a polo 6n2 1.6gti engine and gearbox fit my polo 1.4cl 6n??

just been dibating the ideas cos as i said headgone again not completely yet but thinking about either fixing it or engine upgrade.

any ideas or any other engine that fit.not wanting loads of power been young inshurance hard enuough.possibly even diesel

1.6 GTI engine in your polo will push it to group 12 - if you are young and are struggling with insurance prices, this is not going to help you at all - expect 2-3 k in your own name.

It will fit, but there is a huge amount of work, plus a full loom and dash conversion if you want it to work properly.

mite just find another 1.4 if i cant be bothered to fix it. see what damage is
