Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :)
where can you buy it?
Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :)
I bought it from a local hardware store, it's a Wurth Stone Guard Black just like this one http://www.autogeek.net/w890971.html
if you buy one make sure it is the aerosol one not the one that you need a gun to spray it with (that is of course if you dont have the equipment to spray with)

Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :)
did you sand the wheels down first mate or just spray on and how much you reckon you need for 4 wheels?
Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :)
nah mate, just cleaned them and sprayed cos the spray I used just sticks to anything. not sure how much I used cos I forgot! but I am assuming that 2-3 cans are enough
Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :)
nice thats definitely getting done then
Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :)
hehe still have got to do the other 3 wheels lazy me
Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :)
long time no post here so I decided to throw some pics of some minor updates hehe
so ... black wheels, black tinted side lamps and a light black tint to the head lamps
tow hook hehe
redone the rear lights with proper tint spray ...
yellow sprayed air box...
and another sticker ( I think I was actually drunk when I placed the sticker cos I did it terribly slanting )

Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :)
btw... was lately contemplating about selling my polo to buy at least a 1.4mpi as I heard that as the 1.0mpi is underpowered the 1.4 is more economical? is this true?? ( also some more power would never hurt hehe)

The 1.4 8v is almost as slow as the 1.0. If anything economy is better in what you already have. When I had my 1.0,I could easily get 400miles out a tank
Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :) (minor updates pg10)
so that would translate to 44mgp ehh alex ?!?! so whats wrong with my car...apart from my apparently bad driving habits :/
Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :) (minor updates pg10)
in my 1.4 8v i can easily get 400miles+ from a tank so i'm guessing they are both pretty similar
Re: yellow 6n2 progress thread :) (minor updates pg10)
some minor changes lately =)
so the brakes had to be changed all around including the disks so I opted for ATE performance disks. I did the servicing myself and as it was the first time I am quite happy hehe. Photos of the work:

I also loved the diy strut brace lowfoon bought, and seeing how easy it was to make I worked out one for myself this morning . I did it all myself apart from the welding as I don't have the skills nor the equipment ... loved how it worked out
materials needed:
working out the edges:
fitments trial:
after the welding I rounded the edges for a better look (though they are concealed hehe)
spraying it...
fitting it
end result
