You don't necessarily need a ring spanner for the top mount to get them off the car. You may find it easier to undo the 13mm bolts, take off the suspension, and then take off the top mount once it's off the car. I found an impact driver the best thing for this by far as you don't usually need to hold the centre still with a hex key. For the standard suspension you need compressors to take it off, for coilovers you don't need them. It's a right pain as compressors don't easily fir unless you have low profile ones.
