Vw Polo 1.4cl Gearbox prob

Hi

Just looking for some advice about me 1997 polo gearbox. had a look under car yeasterday to find oil leaking that smelt like gear oil not engine had a good look about only oil leak i can see is a drive shaft seal were it goes into gearbox so. but main probolem is selecting gears like 1 and reverse seem so close to each other and you can get the wrong one in. all gears do go in but with a bit of force. any ideas ? is it knackard if so i kepp driving till it die lol

best bet would be to get a garage to sort it out, if its a bit stiff and you think your gear oil leaking...lack of oil means that the gears are jamming up because no oil.....

piping may have broken but best taking to a garage better to be safe than sorry

had a look today. by the looks a seal has gone. so topped gearbox up. just gonna keep my eye on it for now. keep topping up. hopefully be getting a new gearbox in near future. (fingers crossed)
