need some advice please....

Post by Marc080 »

i recently purchased a new nimbus grey polo...

THINGS TO DO:
change interior lights to red = done
change exterior lights to xenon's =
paint callipers red =
get all black plastic sprayed gloss black =

lower, so need help in finding a good set of coil overs, or a good set of springs ?
new alloys, will the arch fit 19's?
and any good ideas on body kits, was thinking of just getting splitters, cheap and sexy...?

if anyone would mind sending any info about any of the stuff above it would be a great help!

well the xenons may be a bit of a pain as the bcm is a pain and will chuck out bulb warning lights but i think hids direct do a kit for £64 for vw if you get it lets know whether it works.
For the calipers you can get a folia tec kit off awesome for like £24.
As for painting if your any good you can do it your self with stuff from halfords otherwise youll have to find a bodyshop should be too pricey as there isnt much textured plastic on the 6r.
I cant guarentee 19's will fit but it shouldnt be a massive problem.
for coilovers look at dpm performance you can pick some decent one up for a bit over £500 they also list springs for the car from about 130 ish
hope this helps man ps put some pics up if you get the work done

hmmm my local shop are charging about £100 for xenons, but they will fit them and insure no warning lights will appear... aye i got some paint yesterday, and plan to paint the callipers this weekend sometime...

as for the finished product with pictures, might be a while yet... to broke to afford alot of the stuff, especially coilovers and alloys! hope to have it all done by next summer... :( coilovers will be last to try and get insurance down...

doesn't sound too bad for the xenon's as for the coliovers if you want to go quite low but dont want to shell out loads then there is a H&R kit for £171 which will lower it 35mm front and 55 rear which is pretty low what wheels are on your'es at the minute

Yeah ive had some autobulbs direct canbus leds which are pretty good but occasionally a bulb light will come but yet all the lights are working other than that i really rate them.
I priced up the new xenon headlamps the other day though and there 295 a side then youv'e got to buy bulbs and have them coded in but apparently the connections are the same though
