Do you mean the actual VW badge or the silver blank thing at the bottom of the wheel?

I think that the VW badge itself is part of the airbag and the silver blank thing just clips out?

I think he meant the silver thing in the bottom of the steering wheel cause the vw badge can't be removed!

as blazeguarder said, the silver thing just clips out!

Sorry was probably not clear enough! I was talking about the badge in the centre of the wheel! But if it can't be taken out then it cant be taken out! Really wanted to have an VW R Racing theme on my car! Also if anyone is interested I just fitted cruise control 8) very smart

There are some 'R' themed silver blanks on ebay which might be worth a look, but I thought that the R32 had a normal VW badge on the steering wheel anyway? That said, I've never sat in one so I haven't got a clue lol.

Going off topic: how easy is the cruise control install? Thinking about something similar in the future, how much of the dash needs removing to get to the relevant wiring? Thanks

well basically there I bout the new stalk set which included the neccessary loom with all the cables so I to pop off the steering wheel, then take the stalk out and then plug in the new connectors and that was easy enough but there was 1 connector that was almost impossible to reach but it did reach and it did connect and then put it back together and it all worked perfectly. Absolutely essential mod! Can give you a more detailed explaination if you like and give u the name of the website i used. Cheers
