Paint code

Post by robz »

Just wondering if any1 can confirm this paint code?!!?

In the details for my car the paint code is "LB6Z" & after a bit of i-net hunting i found out it was called Modena Metallic Green. But i went 2 Halfrauds to get some of the paint made up & when the entered the code in2 the database it was called Montana Green.

Does any1 no either way which it is?!

Tough one - names can be confusing.

VW sells their own repair/paint products as well, it may be worth a trip to the dealer to get your paint. Before that, you could visit a paintshop to have them confirm the correct code using a color matching thingie. You know. That paper fan type thing.

Hope that made sense...

Depends on your branch of halfords......

My local one lent me their swatch book (which i spent a couple hours finding the best match from - surprisingly enough, a VW colour, that was spot-on, but from about 4 years later than my car), but then naffed up the mixing......
