Hi, I just bought a subwoofer off one of my friends for £20, bargain! it's a fli trap active 12" 1000 watt. Haven't exactly tried it out yet because I don't have the wiring kit. Anyway I've never done anything like this before. But I have looked around and know what I need... Problem is how do I connect the power lead to the battery?! And is it a hard job to do?
Oh and I got quoted £90 from an audio shop... Don't know what to do!
Thanksssss

Re: Need help wiring a subwoofer!
What gauge wiring are you using? If it's only 8 AWG, you should (apparently) be able to squeeze it through a grommet in the passenger footwell. Pull back the carpet and look for a hole with a wire for the ABS controller going through. Around the same (height) level of the pollen filter. That's you're easiest route.
If you've got 4 AWG cable like me, use the grommet in the engine bay for the bonnet release cable on LHD cars. You've got to take the glovebox out to do this, but it's pretty straightforward. Here are a few pics I took when I did mine.
