glad you've got cheap insurance...
mines £1850 (along those lines) and i cant do mods :( :evil:
got a 1.6 mk4 polo so that would boost it but not much
but main thing is that im 17y/o male... and got 3points on my license from when i had a moped :(

if thats the case mate its worth checking out thier site mate... even with points it'll be lower than what your paying now, 170 a month? if you changed insurer, yur intial first deposit would prob be lower than that mate...cant have a fellow dubber paying stupid money for insurance....insurance which costs more than the car lol... buh yeah do check it out...

i think im the youngest on here (16) 17 in 1 month or so, my insurance quotes what i am getting now, putting it on my dads insurance with 15+ no claims and locked garage etc. the cheapest i have found is 2500 on 2000 plate polo,
i guess i will have to pay it!

And you were considering a 1.6 GTI engine swap...good god. Modified car insurance on that would see 5k +!

i was going to do the swap in a couple of months when i was on a traders policy, thats why im searching round to see how hard they are to do

I don't think a traders policy would cover that level of modification

i wish i was this lucky.

I've been driving 18 months now, with a claim (black ice, 5mph rear end), and 3 points (doing 36 in a 30)

ANd i've got no choice but to pay £2700 a year on a 1.0 polo.

hopefully it will drop when i renew in november, But hey, some of us have it worse off :P
