Help Please!!1

Post by StevePolo »

Right, I've just had a service done and have been told that I need a new tyre :( as there is approximately 0mm tread on it, ooops!!

Anywho instead of buying just one tyre, I was thinking ok going for these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 91837&rd=1

Will they go straight on, or is it going to be a lot of hassle, also what is the biggest you can go without having to make any other mods.

Cheers
Steve

They're a bit big. The biggest size you can fit (officially) is 195-40-16.

OTOH, you guys love big wheels, so there's lots of Mk4's with 17's - expect some rubbing though.

Edit: Expect LOTS of rubbing if you plan to lower it, or if it's lowered already. I'd never buy 'em tbh.

17s will fit without scrubbing, but your gonna need some decent suspension and arch work doing, which is a bit of a false economy if your doing it just to get out of buying tyres.

Go for some deep dish 16s like speedy said

17s are big for a mk4. go for 15s if u are on a budget cus 195/40/16 tyres are expensive!
