Right, I'm trying to fit a new head unit into my car, and I'm having trouble with can bus adapters. It's a navigation system as well so I need to use one as I need the speed pulse wire.
I bought an adapter from Connects2, the CTSVW002 which is meant to fit the 9N3, test fitted it and the unit wasn't getting power. On closer inspection, the adapter didn't have a pin for the SAFE terminal on the car loom. I've heard that this is a constant 12V source from various web sites, so I'm assuming that this is the problem. There are corresponding pins for all of the other terminals on the loom side, so it doesn't really make sense that this one is missing...
So the question is: what adapters are you guys using? Or is everyone just using a quadlock to ISO adapter and picking up a switched live from somewhere?

Re: Can Bus Adapter
Right, so having had a chat with Connects2 and the guys at my local audio shop, it appears that my car just doesn't like can-bus adapters. Their words, not mine lol. The unit can get power when the ignition is on, but when the engine is turned on the unit turns off and resets itself. It also turns off when the ignition is turned off, instead of when the key is removed like the standard radio does.
I genuinely can't believe that this is so difficult. Has anyone experienced anything like this?
