So what are the best bulbs to go for to get a xenon look without having to get a hid kit or any upgrade ?

talking about bulbs and osram specifically .... does anyone know why bulbs like the OSRAM COOL BLUE HYPER WHITE aren't street legal and would they get you a fail at the MOT? was really interested in getting a set....

Ha! My fault entirely... apologies!

To be fair though, I'm now looking for a set of decent bulbs for the diesel. The headlights in it really do seem pathetic right now.

@alex how is the MOT getting tighter? will it be that HID kits need to be fitted in a projector unit with washers too??

They are going to be tightening the law on HID bulbs that are fitted into headlights designed to take halogen bulbs

It is possible that the law will pertain that HID bulbs can only be used in headlights designed to take HID bulbs (projection or otherwise like minis, volvos etc)

Washers and levellers may become the law, but this is generally only specific to factory fit xenons.

Until Jan next year, we wont know so its just a wait and see for now.
