I don't think you can even try to compare these cars. You either want a new car or a better second hand one. However the S3 might be good but the R32 is better out of the box. The Edition 30 is just as fast out of the box and handles better than both and the Golf R is the best of the bunch but is too expensive at present I guess. Depends what you really want they are all very similar so yes choices You should also try a Mk6 Golf GTI if you haven't already. What ever you do DSG is a must.

Unfair to compare though. running cost is quite different if you think about road tax, insurance and fuel etc.

but as most people say you cant really compare the two as the poverty spec s3 theres just no point in

ive compared both, been out in both, even a 400bhp S3... but its the running cost of the S3 that ulitmately made the decision for a 6R gti!

petrol, tax, insurance, parts etc... audi all mountain over the polo!

im gonna put in an order for a 6R in the next few weeks i reckon!

Good choice and so much more fun I've had an mk5 r32 and this is so much better smaller cars feel faster use loads less fuel and cheap to insure love my Polo now lowered and ready for remap

Running costs was my main driver for going Polo GTI but it great fun and fast and it makes me smile every time I drive it
