Who said I wanted it to look oldskool...I don't understand the roof box it doesn't make it look old school. It looks a bit out of place.
If I wanted to look like every other mk1 golf, or 'retro' wannabe, then that's what would be on there now. The box keeps stuff dry, a roof rack doesnt.What about a chrome roof rack like many mk1s have, that woud look ok.
I have put rear mounted bike racks on my Golf, and all they do is dent stuff... I have a Thule roof mounted bike rack for my bike... Or are you trying to be funny??Have you tried a bike rack on the car out the back and bull bars on the front, might be a new idea, then a trailer. lol
I dont have the box on the roof cos I'm a sheep following fashions..
