has anyone looked in to a slightly longer rear wiper blade for their polo ?

i expect i will im trying to come up with a solution first ive not even got the car yet :lol:
i need to find out how long the standed one is they may well be a universal length
if anyone wants to mesure it from the pivot centre to the end of the blade that would be helpful :|

I don't see what advantage a longer blade would bring. There is potential for about 2cms more on the outside of the arc.

However, the standard blade already wipes onto the non see-through area at the top of the rear window. Also, there could potentially be a problem with the rear wiper motor if a non-standard and longer blade were fitted in that this would have more resistance...

i seem to vaguly remember the area that horizontal area cleaned seemed at the time a bit small for me a touran wiper blade is longer by a few cm but im not sure if its to long at the vertical point

A longer blade would be wiping the roof spoiler/high level brake light on the GTI. Suck it and see but it's not a problem IMO.
