Well guys me and the other half have been looking at new cars for the last couple of months but had been eagerly anticipating the launch of the polo gti for some time and boy it doesnt dissapoint. The choice came down to two cars in the end...........ibiza cupra and the new polo gti, couldnt get a drive in the ibiza for love nor money due to dealers ( arnold clark glasgow) being complete bell ends, and specialist cars seat in aberdeen have no demo,s . So booked the polo test drive and it only took me three hundred yards to realise this is the car for me.
Now i had initally been scared off by the rediculous league times 14-16 weeks................cant wait that long, so I had managed to find one just outside london but being up in aberdeen its a fecking long drive, so tried specialist cars aberdeen vw to see if they could poach the car........silly fecking saleswoman didnt even try phoning to see if it was possible but she gave me numbers of two dealers that had stock, now when i used to work in the trade this was a cardinal sin by salesmen and at arnie could even get you the sack but on the second call it worked.
Brand new 11 plate candy white 3dr in liverpool, took me all of a second to decide i will have it and done the deal over the phone, having never bought a new car before i am over the moon and i am like at kid at christmas ( 33 years old) collecting the car this sat but god this is going to be a long week

Really like the look of the rns510 sat nav unit, now not being a volkswagen man, are these plug and play or do they need coding in to work correctly. Wont even get to enjoy the car fully next week once its home as i am away off shore on monday for about a week

I am no expert on the RNS510 being retro fitted but I am sure this will need recoding. I think there was a thread on here before about it, have a search around. The RNS510 is good got one on my MK6 GTI. Seeing as you won't be about next week it will give your other half time to run it in so when you get back you can drive it normally.scorchio wrote:cheers guys will defo put up some pics, got a few ideas in mind for it already just need to start saving.
