Is it possible to reset the overall odometer?

Maybe this is a silly question, but... Is it possible to reset the overall odometer? Does anyone know how? Or only dealers have the tools to?

You need a tool such as K-Commander to do such a thing, and you need the PIN for the clusters to do it. Not the easiest thing to do either...requires an eeprom reflash on polo clocks.

any authorized service has that capability, right? i could try there...

They will not reset the clocks - VW will only code clocks once, and thats at factory, or if the clocks are new from the dealers being fitted to replace an existing set.
