number plates

i was wondering if anyone knows where to get black number plates with the silver lettering. ive been looking for ages but cant seem to find anywhere that does them.

I think most Halfords do black and silver plates......BUT............Wouldn't they be illegal on your car???? Doesn't the vehicle have to have been registered before something like 1973-ish??? I'm pretty sure thats the case.

As waveydavey said Halfords do do them. I can't help on the legal side though.

yes they are illegal after a certain age.. a mate had them on his car for a grand total of 3 days before he got a tug for them...

And to be honest, thats a lot of hastle for plates that look crap.

im not 100% sure but i dont think they will sell you them if your car isnt supposed to have them

or you could move to guernsey like me and have some numeric number plates with black and silver legally
