Post by meeky »

Went to start the car up today and battery was flat, tried jump starting the car but no joy! So had to take battery out and charge, 5hours later fully charged and fitted back in and she fires up, but now the radio has gone into safe mode anyone know of codes, the car needs a service hoping weekend it can go in so it can be all done then have to wear iPod for the work journey till then

The code is unique to the radio, so if you don't have it you'll have to get the dealer to look it up. However, if it's the original radio that came in the car, then it should unlock itself. In my car its quite trial and error though, I don't have my code either so whenever I take it out it can sometimes take a few attempts at turning the ignition on and off to get it to work. It should say 'LEARN' when it's unlocking itself.

If it isn't working you're probably best off getting the dealer to give you a copy of the code for the future, but as is the way with this sort of thing it'll probably sort itself out on the day you take it in for a service!
