Everything is more expensive in Norway, hehe.
It fits between the car's wiring harness (the 16 pin 'quadlock' connector to the back of the standard radio) and the replacement headunit.
It's either use the canbus adapter or you can use a quadlock to ISO adapter. This basically sorts out all of the speaker wires/earth etc but you need to run a wire to an ignition live so that it turns on when you switch on the ignition, and a wire for the dash lights as well. This is a cheaper option, but if you want to fit a unit with navigation then you are better off with the canbus adapter, as it gives you a speed pulse as well, which you don't really need in a standard radio.
I fitted a navigation unit so I went for the canbus adapter. Although it costs more, I probably would have used it for a normal radio unit as well because, aside from the problems I had with finding a compatible one, it is completely plug and play, so you can quickly remove it if selling the car etc.

Unless it has a quadlock socket on the back, then it isn't a direct fit. The 9N has ISO connectors which mean that head units fit easily into those cars, but the 9N3 is a bit more tricky...
