imported it from Japan at end of last year after gettin bored with my UK spec scoob cost me nearly double for an older car and insurance doubled too but i got twice the motor
model i got is often used as a donor car for group N rallying, so got all the rally goodies i.e diffs, gearbox, roof vent etc. but no ABS, the handbook even advises you on the correct use of the handbrake while driving, gravel use and not to play with the diffs when in mid air
best toy is the driver controlled centre diff, ya can open it fully dialing all the power to the rear wheels for some Sideways and Donut action, or lock the diff up for some rally slag style 4 wheels spinning drifts and various other settings.
everything bog standard at mo, except exhaust and wheels and in the process of gettin the ECU remapped for UK fuel so engine doesnt go bang again like the first week i had it! - ooops, gettin the final tweak done next week and to unleash the rest of the power

well... It did have 320hp (i think) but the garage he bought it from didn't do a proper re-map for 97RON fuel (like we get over here) so it was still set up for 101RON fuel (like the japs use)
so now he has this...
But the good news is the compensation has paid for him to import a 2.5 litre USA spec engine
450hp apparantly...

You got some proper security for that right? You're now more of a scum-target than a little old lady on crutches wearing a diamond necklace and an iPod by Mersey docks with a handbag bulging full of used twenties...

Best I can get for the "other" car is optimax at 98.5 RON bit better than BP ultimate and miles better than std Super 97 RON (that stuff ain't that much better than 95 RON) Dyno run last year revealed a 45 bhp drop going from Optimax to 95 and you can notice that type of differnce - believe meTahrey1043 wrote:(101RON petrol in japan? how? why? what?!? can i import some for the 'Lop?)
